The main lodge boasts 20very spacious and luxuriously appointed bedroom suites. Each comfortable airconditioned suite offers a television, teaand coffee making facilities, mini bar and private patio that opens out into the bush. Black Rhino Game Lodge

Children of all ages are welcome at the lodge. Children 0 –5 years stay complimentary when sharing with parents, not permitted on game drives. 6 –11 years enjoy a 50% discount on the adult sharing rate and are permitted on game drives at management discretion. Children 12 years and older pay the full adult rate and are permitted on gamedrive.

Pilanesberg Game Reserve is one of the largest volcanic complexes of its kind in the world. Its rare rock types and structure make it a unique geological feature.The area is fringed by three concentric ridges or rings of hills – the formation rises from the surrounding plains like a bubble.

The structure of the park is termed the “Pilanesberg Game Reserve Alkaline Ring Complex”. Ancient, even by geological time scales, this extinct volcano is the most perfect example of an alkaline ring complex. A number of rare (but not necessarily economically important) minerals occur in the park.
